This past weekend was spent almost entirely down at the Buffalo Waterfront for the Thunder on the Buffalo Waterfront Airshow! Unfortunately, weather wasn’t on our side on Saturday. Heavy fog and a cloud ceiling of less than 1,500ft prevented most of the acts from performing safely. Nevertheless, it was still an enjoyable day spending time with quality time with family down by the water and watching a few fly-bys from some of the jets that were able to perform.

Luckily, Saturday’s tickets were honored for the Sunday show and the weather was absolutely perfect! Blue skies, warm temps and a beautiful waterfront space made for an amazing airshow over the lake and I’m so happy we were able to return for the performance! Highlights of the show were definitely the performances by World Aerobatic Champion Rob Holland, Rick Volker- a local WNY aerobatic performer and, of course, the headlining US Navy Blue Angels.

Enjoy some shots from both days of Thunder on the Buffalo Waterfront!
